THROUGH THE SEAMS
Solo Exhibition at Grand Bohemian Gallery
Greenville, SC
May 1, 2026 - June 3, 2026
Through the Seams is a collection of work that combines photography and textile techniques through experimentation, imperfection, and transformation. Images are torn apart and stitched back together, turning photography from a flat image into a physical object.
Instead of hiding flaws, the work highlights seams, frayed edges, and repairs. These details become part of the image, showing how experience, mistakes, and memory shape identity over time.
The work also challenges ideas about how photography and textiles are “supposed” to be made. By blending and disrupting both mediums, it rejects perfection and control, and instead values process, accident, and intuition.
In this exhibition, stitching acts as both structure and communication—bringing broken pieces together into new forms where the process of making stays visible, and meaning comes from breaking and rebuilding.
